Lancer Wao

I am a communications professional with over six years of experience in development, advocacy, and corporate communications. Currently, I serve as the Communications and Publications Assistant at the African Economic Research Consortium, where I manage publications, coordinate communications activities, and oversee social media platforms to strengthen organizational impact. I am also pursuing an MSc in Communication Studies at Moi University, where my research focuses on leveraging digital media for policy advocacy and social development.

Beyond my professional role, I co-founded and actively volunteer with Wema Health Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting girls’ education, women’s health, and community well-being in underserved areas of Kenya. Through initiatives such as medical camps, mentorship retreats, and community outreach programs, I work to create sustainable change and advocate for equitable policies.

My expertise spans social media management, digital marketing, copywriting, and strategic communication, complemented by certifications in French (A2) and data visualization. I am passionate about integrating communication, policy advocacy, and outreach to amplify voices, empower marginalized communities, and improve access to education and healthcare.
