Christine Namenya Egessa

I am a leadership scholar with a focus on gender diversity in decision-making roles, financial inclusion in fintech, and inclusive leadership that prioritizes dignified human experiences, democracy, and collaboration for sustainable impact.

With over 15 years of experience, I am an accomplished professional specializing in organizational leadership, fintech operations, operations management, product strategy, project management (Agile/Scrum), team development, user experience, research, customer service, quality assurance, and coaching. My work is dedicated to achieving excellence in products and services, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering outstanding user experiences for both internal and external teams.

As a T-shaped professional, I combine deep expertise in specialized areas with broad knowledge across various disciplines. I am passionate about human-centered and inclusive leadership, democratizing financial services, advancing financial inclusion for women, encouraging female representation in decision-making roles, fostering community empowerment, and promoting dignified lived experiences.

My current research explores the democratization of leadership, gender diversity in decision-making roles, and financial inclusion among underprivileged populations, particularly African women. I also examine the potential impact of fintech in these areas. Given that women constitute at least half of the labor force, there are significant opportunities to support them through rigorous research and knowledge dissemination.

I hold an undergraduate degree in education, a master’s degree in project planning and management, and I am a doctoral candidate (ABD) in Organizational Leadership.
