I am a pharmacist and lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management, Kaduna State University, Nigeria. With seven years of teaching experience, I have taken on multiple administrative responsibilities within the Faculty and University.
Currently, I serve as the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management. Additionally, I represent the Faculty at the Directorate of Research and Development of the University and contribute as a member of the Faculty Curriculum Review Committee, among other roles.
My research interests focus on pharmacy education, patient safety, and mixed methods research. For my PhD, I explored medication safety practices—an essential component of patient safety—in public hospitals in Kaduna State, Nigeria. I have also collaborated on various research projects with colleagues and actively participate in the Pharmacy Scholars Initiative (PSI), a mentoring group dedicated to advancing pharmacy education and research.
I have presented my research at both national and international conferences, including the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria Conference (Kaduna, 2019), the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare (Glasgow, 2019), and the All Together Better Health X: Reinvented Conference (2021). My passion lies in improving pharmacy education and practice while building capacity for research and innovation in clinical pharmacy.
