Oluwatosin Ajibola

I am an avid researcher with a strong interest in social justice, public health and governance, and human rights. My passion lies in advancing policies, strategies, and interventions that improve public health and reduce inequalities.

I am a Nigerian Legal Practitioner dedicated to promoting policies that enhance public health and address social and gender justice, global health governance, public health law advocacy, human rights, and socio-legal issues.

I hold an LLM in Health, Law, and Society with distinction from the prestigious University of Bristol Law School, United Kingdom. My LLM dissertation critically examined the feasibility of implementing Nigeria’s National Health Insurance Authority Act 2022 to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC), with a specific focus on strengthening Primary Health Care—considering UHC’s inclusion within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Throughout my career, I have contributed to seminars, assignments, and public law reform projects addressing health inequalities, policies, and the social determinants of health within populations.

My passion for public health and human rights has inspired me to pursue a PhD on racial inequalities in maternal health in England, exploring the role of legal frameworks in perpetuating and sustaining these disparities. This research aligns with my long-term goal of becoming an academic, researcher, and professor specializing in law and social justice.
